Welcome to Forsyth ARES

Forsyth County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) is a group of dedicated Amateur Radio volunteers (”Hams”) that provide emergency communications and spotter storm information to the US National Weather Service as a part of Forsyth County’s and the state of Georgia’s emergency services.  When all else fails– Amateur Radio remain strong!


Amateur Radio Week – June 21 and 27th. Demo the 20th.

June 21-27 will be Amateur Radio Week in Forsyth County, as proclaimed by the Forsyth Commission. This will happen at the Commission Meeting, June 18th at 5pm in the 2nd floor of the County Building. Please come to support this!
We will also set up a demonstration of Amateur Radio somewhere on Marketplace Blvd on the 20th to celebrate this, as well as advertise for Field Day and our upcoming classes.

Field Day

June 26-27 2009 – Cumming Fairgrounds, in the camping area behind the Saw Mill. We’ll be set up once again as N4AC for Field day. Please come out and check out the setup, operate, or just say ‘Hi’!

Spring Amateur Radio Classes
